Why Halyard

The name Halyard comes from sailing.  A halyard is the line used to raise, control, and secure the sails -  providing the structure and balance required to move forward with precision and confidence.

 

Halyard Solutions was conceived in Coronado while sailing and reflecting on the kind of advisory firm I wanted to build.  The metaphor endured because it reflects how I work: bringing disciplined structure, clear governance, and hands-on leadership to complex initiatives where execution matters.

From Big Firm Consulting to Founder -Led Advisory

I began my career in 1998 at Arthur Andersen, joining their business consulting practice immediately after earning a degree in accounting and receiving my CPA certification.   Early on, I worked at the intersection of the CIO and CFO, helping organizations configure ERP systems that aligned technology, finance, and operations.​
