Heath Ceramics

Client Profile
Heath Ceramics is an iconic American manufacturer known for handcrafted ceramics and tile, blending artisanal production methods with modern manufacturing and retail operations. As the business evolved, Heath Ceramics required stronger alignment between its manufacturing operations, financial systems, and technology strategy.
The Challenge
Heath Ceramics was operating on an existing NetSuite implementation that no longer reflected the realities of its manufacturing processes or cost structure. Key challenges included:
-
An item master and manufacturing configuration misaligned with production workflows
-
Gaps between lead management, quoting, and downstream execution
-
The need to evaluate and select a Trade Management solution aligned with their operational model
Leadership needed a partner who could operate comfortably across manufacturing, finance, and IT, and who could translate operational complexity into reliable financial insight.
Our Approach
Beginning in September 2024, Halyard Solutions partnered with Heath Ceramics to address both foundational system issues and strategic priorities. Our work included:
-
NetSuite Remediation & Manufacturing Reconfiguration
We fundamentally reworked the item master and manufacturing configurations to accurately reflect Heath’s production processes, enabling cleaner data, better scalability, and more reliable reporting. -
Costing Model & Variance Analysis
We analyzed Heath Ceramics’ costing methodology and helped true up cost accounting variances. This work improved confidence in product margins and financial reporting while aligning costing practices with manufacturing reality. -
Lead-to-Quote Enablement
We deployed and configured Lead-to-Quote functionality within NetSuite, creating a more seamless and controlled flow from customer inquiry through quoting and order execution. -
Business Process Reengineering
We led cross-functional process redesign efforts to standardize workflows across operations, finance, and manufacturing, reducing friction and improving accountability. -
IT Strategy & Roadmap Development
We developed a clear IT strategy and phased roadmap to guide future technology investments and support long-term growth. -
Trade Management System Selection
We conducted a structured evaluation and selection process for a Trade Management solution, ensuring alignment with Heath Ceramics’ compliance, operational, and integration requirements.
